Tools for Digital Marketing

You can’t please everyone all the time. However, as a marketer, it is your responsibility to try to disapprove of this assertion. Generally, the question that arrives at anyone’s mind is - “Why do we need Marketing?”.

Well, at present in this thriving world, even the most basic product needs to be marketed for its growth so one can answer this sprightly -

“Marketing is important because it allows businesses to maintain long-lasting and ever-present relationships with their audience”.

However, for people unfamiliar with the term marketing, one needs to be briefed on the most basic step.

Marketing is the creation, communication, and delivery of value, as well as the management of customer relationships for a lifetime. From a societal standpoint, marketing is the link between a society's material needs and its economic patterns of responses.

Marketing satisfies the needs and desires of the seller through the exchange processes and the development of long-term relationships with the customers. At its most basic level, marketing seeks to match a company's/individual’s products and services to customers who want access to those products. Matching products to customers ultimately ensures profitability.

WHAT IS DIGITAL MARKETING?

Digital Marketing, also called online marketing, is the promotion of brands to connect with potential customers using the internet and other forms of digital communication. This not only includes emails, social media, web-based advertising, but also text and multimedia messages as a marketing channel. Essentially, if a marketing campaign involves digital communication, it's digital marketing.

TOOLS FOR DIGITAL MARKETING:-

Does all of this sound difficult? To a large extent, it is. Fortunately, there are hundreds, if not thousands of tools available to assist you in every step of the process. There is software designed specifically to make the job easier, from planning to display advertising tools.

So, what does the word ‘tools’ refer to here?

Marketing Tools refer to techniques, strategies, and materials that companies/individuals use to develop and promote their products and services.

Here are the five common digital marketing tools:-

1Social media platforms :

If you want to be where your audience is, some sort of presence on social media is essential. Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat are essential components of an integrated marketing strategy because they allow marketers to engage with their audiences and generate buzz about their brands. Facebook Ads Manager, for example, allows marketers to run ads and track ad performance. Instagram is technically a part of Facebook, but the advertising opportunities here are very different. It's great if you have a product best presented in an image or a video.

2. Design Tools :

Another vital aspect of digital marketing is -design, which is especially prevalent in creating ads and content such as social media posts and blog posts. Since digital marketing is such a design-heavy field, it would be impossible to do it effectively without design tools like Canva and Photoshop, which allow those without extensive graphic design skills to add dynamic images to their content.

3. Analytics tools:

Analytics tools are another set of beneficial tools for digital marketers. These range from Google Analytics (designed to track web traffic statistics to a specific site) to social media analytics tools like Facebook Insights and Twitter Analytics, which provide engagement metrics and help marketers optimise their campaigns. There are also tools like Periscope that track user data, site searches, and conversion metrics for measuring stats on the backend of a site.

4. Content marketing tools:

With content marketing, it’s not so much about which platform you use to produce content, but more about how you draw attention to yourself. The most important aspect of content marketing is getting your content out to the masses. Of course, you can do this by promoting content on your social channels, and via email, but there are tools out there to help you get your content out to a variety of audiences without any trouble. When talking about content marketing tools, we cannot neglect Google, HubSpot, WordPress - they offer marketers a plethora of tools that significantly impact the content strategy.

5. Email marketing tools:

The final essential set of tools in a digital marketer’s toolbox are email marketing tools. Despite what you might hear and see, email marketing is very much alive and well. These enable marketers to create email campaigns that amplify their content and encourage users to engage more with their brand. Email marketing platforms such as MailChimp and Iterable, which are examples of email marketing tools, allow marketers to build email lists and automate email campaigns.

The Bottom Line
Working in digital marketing necessitates a unique combination of passion, strategy, and media savvy. It is beneficial to have the best tools at your disposal to maximise the impact of various campaigns. Sure, you can’t sell your product to everyone, but the more people know about it and like your brand, the more exposure you’ll get.
